This is a great little park with a small lake. There is a snack bar at the lake with sandy beach area. The lake is regularly stocked throughout the year with various fish. You may do some water activities like boating and kayaking as well.

I visited Lyman Run State park at the recommendation of one of the locals of Galeton. I was one of a handful of people at the park that day. The park is beautiful, spacious, the leaves were starting to turn. There is a hiking trail that traverses the dam and goes into the woods. It’s cool to be able to walk directly over the spillway and look down. There is a campground there and boating is permitted. It’s so quiet and the the air is so clean.

Beautiful park. Sites were large and mostly level. We tented. Stayed dry during a severe thunderstorm. Restrooms were clean and showers were hot. The concession stand that is open has a lot of hot food choices and yummy ice cream. Able to fish, swim and boat. Rentals are available at concession stand.

Really nice Camp grounds with new and clean bathroom. Sites are very close by though. Day use area was really good with beach for kids to play and stall for snacks, boating and ATV rentals.

Edit: Still fabulous. Not sure what exactly it is, but we love it here. Brought the kids and they asked to come back too. ** We were driving from the PA OH line to Wellsboro and were ahead of schedule, so we decided to look for things not too far off route to see. This came up so we gave it a shot amd were no disappointed. There was a clean yet natural feel. Parking was ample. Itblooked like a swim beach or other water activity center was there but closed for the season. The was relaxing and was just beginning to pop of color. It was a great stop to make for a good stretch and brief walk on a long drive.

We returned to this park for our third stay at the lower campground during a new moon. Our experience has been the campers are typically there for the star park or ATVs. The hiking is nice, the shower houses are always super clean (composting pit toilet at the lower campground), and the little beach area is always a nice place to chill. The snack bar is cash only. There is also extremely limited cell service in the park, so it's a great way to disconnect (pay phone near shower house and snack bar for emergencies). There are a few houses to buy firewood from along the main road or a grocery store in Galeton. If you are traveling with a dog, you can still get a taste of the Cherry Springs experience by camping here and viewing the sky by the lake. If you are going to Cherry Springs, always bring more clothes and blankets than you think you'll need. It's much colder there than you think it will be.

Beautiful lake in the valley. Clean beach and food/drink concessions in the summer. Many nice campsites in the two campgrounds. Ground and lawns are well maintained.

Had a great camping trip here. If its not a cloudy night the stars are incredible. Clean bathrooms, nice rangers & just overall beautiful vibes. Will definitely be back when I visit Potter county again
